From 12 to 17 March 2024, the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) organised a delegation of media and social media influencers to visit Cambodia, at the invitation of the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia. The journalist from China Tourism Newspaper and 4 well-known Chinese tourism bloggers participated in the visit. H.E. Mr. Prak Phannara, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia, met with the delegation.
The delegation visited the capital Phnom Penh, Sihanouk Province, and Siem Reap Province successively, inspected and photographed a series of historical relics, natural and cultural tourist attractions, and participated in the “River Festival” held in Siem Reap Province, actively promoting Cambodia as a tourist destination to the Chinese tourists.
Tourism Familiarisation Trip is one of the ACC flagship projects promoting ASEAN-China tourism cooperation. The Familiarisation Trip to Cambodia helps introduce Cambodian history, culture, and tourism attractions to the Chinese tourists, encourage more Chinese tourists to visit Cambodia, and actively promote people-to-people exchanges between Cambodia and China.
