The ACC Hosts Visiting Student Delegations

During recent weeks, the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) hosted visiting delegations of students from some ASEAN Member States from Yenching Academy of Peking University and award-winners of the Chinese language competitions sponsored by the Consulate General of China to Chiang Mai for university students in Thailand. Director Hadi Tjahjono of Education, Culture and Tourism Division and Director Sun Yi of General Affairs and Coordination Division respectively received the aforesaid delegations, briefed them on the mandate and achievements of the ACC, elaborated on the growth of ASEAN-China comprehensive strategic partnership, and encouraged the young students to contribute more to the people-to-people exchanges between both sides. 

In the discussions between the student delegations and the ACC officials and interns, the ASEAN guests shared their knowledge and experience relating to participating in ASEAN-China cooperation and Chinese learning. They all expressed appreciation and support to the endeavors by the ACC in bringing the peoples from both ASEAN and China closer. Some of the students looked forward to getting internship opportunities at the ACC in the near future.
