Recently, Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) gave an exclusive interview to China Tourism News, interpreting the fruitful outcomes in tourism exchanges and cooperation between ASEAN and China, and expressing his expectations on the prospects of tourism cooperation between both sides. The interview has been published on the aforesaid media’s paper and online platform.
SG Shi stated that ASEAN and China are good neighbours, good friends and good partners that enjoy geographical proximity and cultural affinity. Under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and leaders of ASEAN Member States (AMS), the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership has gained strong momentum with fruitful achievements in various fields, laying a solid foundation for tourism cooperation between both sides.
SG Shi stressed that this year is full of potential for the recovery and prosperity of tourism cooperation between ASEAN and China. China is willing to join hands with AMS to act on the principle of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness, deepen converging interests, share development opportunities and encourage people-to-people exchanges so as to contribute to the building of an even closer ASEAN-China community with a shared future and promote regional peace and prosperity.
