As the ASEAN-China Week (ACW) 2024 being just around the corner, Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) gave an exclusive interview to China Global Television Network (CGTN), elaborating on the progress achieved in the growth of ASEAN-China comprehensive strategic partnership and the upcoming events to be presented during ACW 2024, and sharing his expectations for ASEAN-China high-quality practical cooperation and people-to-people exchanges in the future.
SG Shi Zhongjun stressed that, under the strategic guidance of the leaders on both sides, ASEAN and China have achieved a lot in their relations, defined by the deepened political mutual trust, enhanced practical cooperation and flourishing people-to-people exchanges, which not only benefits more than 2 billion people in 11 countries, but also plays an irreplaceable role in promoting regional stability and prosperity. The ACC will host ACW 2024 from 11 to 15 August in Changzhi City of Shanxi Province, under the theme "ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership: Achieving Prosperity through Innovation". Through various activities such as themed dialogue and seminars on trade, investment, culture, tourism and youth development, ACW 2024 will once again highlight friendship and cooperation between ASEAN and China, thus contributing more to building an even closer ASEAN-China community with a shared future.
