The opening ceremony of ASEAN-China Week (ACW) 2024, co-hosted by the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) and the People's Government of Shanxi Province, will be held in Changzhi City of Shanxi Province tomorrow morning.
At present, ASEAN-China relations are growing and flourishing, and the building of the ASEAN-China community with a shared future is making steady progress with fruitful results, benefiting 2 billion people on both sides. ASEAN has been China's largest trading partner for four consecutive years, and China has been ASEAN's largest trading partner for 15 consecutive years. High-quality Belt and Road cooperation has been closely aligned with ASEAN development strategies, such as the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity 2025, which led to more enhanced connectivity between both sides. The year 2024 has been designated as ASEAN-China Year of People-to-people Exchanges, which will witness various events to be staged and a fresh boom in people-to-people exchanges to be expected.
The ACC stands ready to take ACW 2024 as an opportunity to continue to join hands with people from all walks of life who care about and support ASEAN-China relations, to promote the sound and steady growth of the ASEAN-China comprehensive strategic partnership, and to inject vitality into the building of an even closer ASEAN-China community with a shared future.
