ASEAN-China Import and Export Service Platform Launched

On 12 August 2024, at the opening ceremony of the ASEAN-China Week 2024, Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) officially announced the launching of the ASEAN-China Import and Export Service Platform (hereinafter referred to as “the Platform”). The Platform, jointly generated by the ACC and the Center for Promotion of Industrial Internet of Silk-Road (CPIISR), aims at promoting cooperation between ASEAN Member States (AMS) and China based on new quality productive forces, deliver on the spirit of the Joint Initiative on Advancing the China-ASEAN Science, Technology and Innovation Enhancing Program, and push forward the digitization and facilitation of scientific, technological, economic cooperation and trade in the region.

Currently the Platform can provide timely, accurate and effective information on government bidding and procurement as well as the demand of commodity exchange projects of China and AMS, with multilingual, policy, foreign exchange, financial and other supported value-added services needed for the implementation of cooperation projects in various countries, so as to meet the demands of enterprises from AMS and China for using the Platform. In the future, the Platform will also integrate more industry-specific tags based on the economic, trade, scientific, technological and development demand of AMS and China, offer more comprehensive demand-oriented services, and optimize user experience.
