From 25 to 29 September 2024, the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) was invited to attend the 3rd Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE) in Hangzhou of Zhejiang Province. It has been the second year that the ACC set up a pavilion at the Expo. With "Digital Trade, Global Access" as its theme, the 3rd GDTE featured openness, innovation and market orientation, and aimed at serving as a global digital trade ecosystem, exploring global cooperation, promoting global digital trade, and sharing achievements.
Through video broadcasting, English-Chinese bilingual material distribution, and with on-site presentation, the ACC pavilion gave a comprehensive introduction on ACC’s mandate and functions, and vividly presented the efforts by ASEAN and China in connectivity and digital trade transformation. The highlights of the ACC’s display included the application services of Vehicle-Road-Cloud Integration for intelligent connected vehicles, and the just-released ASEAN-China Import and Export Service Platform, which demonstrated great potential for promoting cooperation between ASEAN countries and China relating to emerging industries and new quality productive forces.
The government officials, business representatives, enterprises and media agencies from both China and ASEAN countries went to visit the ACC pavilion for inquiries on the ACC, requesting publicity materials, interacting with the staff and tasting the ASEAN’s specialties, expressing their willingness to cooperate with the ACC. Furthermore, more than 1,000 visitors participated in the quiz-for-prize game in a friendly but heated manner.
