On 8 to 11 December 2024, Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) paid a visit to Myanmar where he met with Union Minister Dr. Thet Thet Khine for Hotels and Tourism, Union Minister U Min Naung for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, Deputy Minister U Ko Ko Kyaw for Ministry of Foreign Affairs. SG Shi also attended the opening ceremony of the 5th National Sports Festival of Myanmar and met with Ambassador Ma Jia of China to Myanmar, they exchanged views on the steps to further enhance ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, as well as Myanmar-China relations.
