The ACC Celebrates New Year Together with the Singaporean Embassy to China

In January 2025, Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) was invited to have dinner with Ambassador Peter Tan of Singapore to China, celebrating the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year together.

Reviewing the achievements reaped in Singapore-China relations over the past year, Ambassador Peter Tan attached great importance to further cooperate with the ACC. Within the framework of the 2025 ASEAN-China Year of People-to-people Exchanges and in commemoration of the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and China, the Ambassador looks forward to more vivid programs by the ACC, and expected further enhancement of connectivity and amiable exchanges between the peoples of both sides, so as to advance the high-quality future-oriented partnership in all dimensions between China and Singapore and ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

During the dinner, Secretary General Shi Zhongjun and ACC officials were also invited to join Ambassador Peter Tan and diplomats from the Singaporean Embassy in Singapore’s traditional Lunar New Year “Prosperity Toss” to wish for the flourishing of Singapore-China and ASEAN-China relations and the prosperity and well-being of the peoples of both sides.
